I was in Graz to see friends, and the room I stayed in was incredible. The service was quick, friendly and dependable throughout. Breakfast was small and quaint, but delicious and had a good variety. My friends were all jealous of where I was staying. Highly recommend.

The spa and pool were a real highlight, and the calm, cozy feel made it easy to relax. Augarten Art Hotel Graz is also just a short walk from the city center. My room was spacious, clean and modern, with distinctive art details, and the staff were friendly and always willing to help. I really enjoyed my stay.

As a Marriott Lifetime Platinum member, I was disappointed by what we got for the price. There wasn't a free breakfast, coffee machine or kettle, and two guests had to share one pair of slippers. Basic things like a toothbrush or shower cap weren't provided either. The bedside and desk lamps were fake, and the spotlights were aimed straight at our eyes. The TV was extremely small.

The breakfast was nice, and the hotel felt modern and fresh. It's about a five-minute walk from the city centre, but the views from my room were bad and the art theme felt a bit off. The larger rooms called “apartments” are in a separate building, with the room door opening directly onto a public outdoor staircase. That felt a bit shady, and getting to the pool means going outside. My room was ice cold, so I contacted staff. They said they'd come fix it but never did. The next day they said the issue was that the heating hadn't been switched on centrally, even though it was -5 outside. They apologized and said they hoped I'd return, but offered no compensation.

Our room was spacious, had everything we needed, and even came with a balcony. Staff helped carry our two heavy suitcases from the lobby all the way to the room in a separate building, and were so friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. There were delicious chocolates on the bedside table. When I asked the reception lady where to buy them, she surprised me by giving me more. At checkout, when we couldn't get a taxi, the kind and pretty receptionist called one for us right away. The thoughtful service and attention to detail made this one of my best hotel stays. Thank you for making our visit so memorable. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm welcome.
