The service was great, but the schnitzel was bland and under-seasoned, and the fries were a pretty small portion. They gave me cranberry and ketchup sachets, which I used with the meal, then charged €1.80 for the cranberry and €1 for the ketchup when I paid. It’s cash only, too. I’d eat somewhere else.

The service was good, but the food disappointed me and the portions seemed smaller than at other restaurants in the area. They only take cash, and there was no notice about that at the entrance.

I’ve only stopped by a couple of times for food, never stayed overnight. The portions were generous, the staff were nice, and it’s a good spot to try local specialties.

We spent the final weekend of Advent in Mariazell, and the location was fantastic, just behind the basilica. Monika and her family made us feel welcome right away at this lovely family-run hotel. The rooms are modern, the food is good, and the service is very friendly. Great value, and we’ll definitely come back. Thank you!

From the warm welcome, we felt comfortable straight away. It’s a well-run family business with beautiful, clean rooms, a great location, and an excellent breakfast. Everyone was extremely friendly. We’ll be back!
