Haus Oberfeichtner

We stayed on the fourth floor, with guest rooms on the third and fourth. Our room was clean and had a balcony and a small TV, though there was no shampoo or soap in the bathroom. Breakfast included cheese, bread, cereal, and cold cuts. The place itself is nice and has a pool, but it could have been cleaner. We also found the owner, or the person helping us, difficult to deal with and not very nice.

The garden pool was a lovely extra, and the location made it easy to explore the area. We felt at home right away because the hostess was so friendly and clearly cared about making guests happy. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and breakfast was great. We had a really pleasant stay and would recommend it.

We came away very happy with our three days, and the landlady even shared some great local tips over breakfast. The meal was more than enough, and the room was charming, spotless, and had everything we needed. We’d decided on a long weekend in Mitterbach on the spur of the moment six weeks earlier, hoping to find a guesthouse since hotels aren’t really our thing. Fortunately, a room was still available and booking was simple. We called on arrival day to say we’d be late, and it was no trouble at all. The landlady even thanked us for letting her know, which I appreciated. A great choice if you want a clean room and friendly, down-to-earth hospitality. We’ll be back!

The weather was drizzly, so we were glad to make use of the nice sauna. Our room was cozy, with a balcony and bathroom, and the double bed was comfortable. The hostess made us feel very welcome, and breakfast was excellent. The location works wonderfully for hiking or motorcycling, and the restaurant by the chairlift is only a short walk away. We really enjoyed our stay, and it was excellent value for money.
