We were only there for one night, but would happily return. As cycle tourists, we made good use of the pool and sauna, and noticed the gym looked well equipped, though we didn't try it. Our room was comfortable, with lovely mountain views. The hotel was well run and the staff knew their jobs. Breakfast and the evening buffet were excellent, and dinner was very good too, although the choices were limited. The evening buffet exceeded our expectations.

The meal service was a real highlight. The staff were kind and attentive despite being extremely busy, worked well together, and kept checking on everyone. We never had to wait long for the next course. The buffet was kept clean and topped up, and everything from soup to dessert tasted great and was presented nicely. Check-in was welcoming, with sanitiser dispensers at the entrance. Our room at the back, facing the woods, was rather dark, but the hotel was fully booked, so we made do. The hotel has a breathtaking view, and we also enjoyed the nearby attractions and shopping area. There's a convenience store not too far away. We'd love to come back ❤

We stayed four nights, and I think it's worth looking beyond the many five-star ratings. Here's how it went for us. Dinner was the strongest point. The salad buffet was followed by a three-course meal that was usually high quality and very well cooked, apart from dessert. That was impressive given how many guests they were feeding each evening. The location wasn't especially convenient. Aside from the gondola, about five minutes away, there isn't much nearby, and the lake is around a 20-minute walk. A fairly busy road runs beside the hotel, so we couldn't sleep with the window open. We had an older room, not one of the renovated ones, so I can't speak to those. Ours was extremely basic, with no kettle, iron, fridge, bottled water, or glasses. Housekeeping was decent, but the bathroom floor and vent were dirty. Based on our room, we wondered how the hotel earned its three stars. Breakfast was exactly the same each morning, so a longer stay gets repetitive fast. The hot food was limited to fried, boiled, and scrambled eggs, plus bacon. More freshly cooked options, such as omelettes, pancakes, crepes, or baked tomato and cheese, along with some changes from day to day, would make a big difference. There was a lot of reliance on prepared items like processed meat, cheese, frozen bread, muesli, and yogurt.
