Naturhotel Alpenblick

The owners were rude and dismissive and showed no care for their guests. After I’d checked in and unpacked, I was suddenly told I had to change rooms because of another booking, which nobody had mentioned beforehand. The plan changed again the next morning, and I had to leave by 11 AM. It ruined my trip, and my small dog was panicked by all the sudden changes. The price was misleading too, since I only found out at checkout that it was charged per person. By comparison, Entners am See is beautiful and accommodating, and its staff make sure you can truly relax. The difference is night and day. I found Naturhotel Alpenblick untrustworthy and would stay somewhere else.

The way the owners handled our stay was arrogant, with no transparency or apology. We’d already unpacked when they suddenly said we had to change rooms because of another booking, something they hadn’t told us beforehand. Then the next morning they changed the plan again and made us leave by 11 AM. My mother was visiting from Belgium, and the whole thing ruined our trip. At checkout, we also learned only then that the price was per person. We’d previously stayed at AJA Fürstenhaus am Achensee, where the service was exceptional, including complimentary champagne and cake for a birthday. The difference in hospitality was night and day. Naturhotel Alpenblick was a disaster. Stay somewhere else!!!

I’m sitting in the restaurant right now, amazed by what I’ve just been served. I’ve eaten at some of Berlin’s and Europe’s best fine dining places, and this meal at Alpenblick still surprises me. After a two-year pandemic break, I wondered on the drive here if maybe my tastes had just been simpler before. I was completely wrong. The food has always been mind-blowingly good, and the modest chef in this small Tyrolean village turns every evening into magic. This place is underrated. People know Innsbruck and the other fancy spots nearby, but they should know about this too and try it. We’ve been coming for a couple of years, and this is our fifth or sixth visit. The family is warm and welcoming, and works incredibly hard. I have so much respect for them.

The spa mixes old and new, and the whole hotel was very clean. We had a wonderful two days here. Dinner was excellent, breakfast fantastic, and the family who owns the hotel were very friendly. The kids’ room was amazing too. It felt like home away from home, and we’ll definitely be back.
