Ahorn Chalet

The place has lovely views from some windows and is conveniently close to the ski lift. It’s been renovated recently, but the lighting is poor and some lamps don’t work. The outlet beside the bed in the bedroom is broken. The kitchen is very basic, with only a small dishwasher and refrigerator, and there’s no washing machine. There’s also nowhere to dry ski clothes or store skis.

The house was pretty good overall, though a few household items, like a whisk, were missing. We stayed for a week at the end of ski season, and unfortunately a farmer spread manure on the lawn right by the terrace as soon as we arrived.

The terrace has a sunny view of the Ahorn cable car and the paragliders landing. Inside, there’s room for 8-10 people, though guests nine and ten have to sleep in the main house. Extra beds or individual mattresses in the rooms would be helpful for parents with small children. The large dining area, comfortable living room sofa, and good mattresses make the space work well. The location and size are fantastic, but the management feels a little lackluster. The kitchen equipment could use some investment, and a few corners need tidying up or renovation. At the moment, it all feels a bit neglected.

There’s plenty of space, and it’s clean. The place is right by the lift station and hiking trails, close to the city center, and you can use the hotel sauna area.
