We had a lovely time here. The hosts were really friendly, and the place felt nice and traditional. The weather just wasn’t on our side.

Our kids learned a lot about farm life and how to be around the animals from Monika and Peter. Their warm, open way of welcoming us made us feel at ease from the start. We had a great family holiday at Forstnighof and felt comfortable the whole time. Thanks for such a lovely stay, we hope to see you again soon!

We were lucky to join a group barbecue on our last day, and it was easy to get to know people at the Forstnighof. We spent five lovely days there and really enjoyed Monika and Peter’s hospitality. Kids can get a real taste of farm life and have space to roam. We can definitely see ourselves coming back. Thanks for a great stay! @Peter: that pear brandy was fantastic!

It’s best to reserve your dates months ahead, or even up to a year in advance. We had a wonderful vacation and would love to return. The hosts are super friendly, and the apartments have what you need for affordable self-catering. Kids can join in with everyday stable chores, like walking the ponies or bringing goats and cows in from pasture. Fresh eggs, milk, and pastries can be ordered daily. There’s a lovely view of Lake Millstatt and the mountains, and plenty of ideas for outings when the weather’s bad.
