Familotel Alphotel

We’re on day four now, and the kids’ activities have been a dream for our three year old. Klaudi (sorry if I’ve got the spelling wrong) has gone above and beyond for our daughter, and the other staff have been wonderful too. There are loads of things to do in the play area, and they’ve organized a disco for kids, pony rides, a Rodelbahn trip, a hike, and a magic show tonight. The outdoor playground is great as well. The kitchen has handled our gluten free and cow’s milk free diet incredibly well. I mentioned to the waiter on our first breakfast that I liked the hummus from dinner the night before, and every morning since there’s been a little extra serving just for me. The staff notice details like that and are always lovely with our daughter. The food is delicious and high quality, with a good mix of breakfast and salad buffets, a lunch buffet, and cakes. The table is beautifully set, and even after we make a big mess, it looks lovely again by the next meal. I was worried about the beds because I’d read bad reviews before we booked. When we arrived, a staff member said to tell them if anything wasn’t right, including the bed, and they’d find a solution, such as a mattress topper. I tried it right away and found it super comfortable. My husband and daughter agree. I don’t understand the reviews I saw. The room is incredibly clean too. I’m very picky and usually check closely for hairs, stains, and marks on the sink or mirror, but everything was perfect. I feel so comfortable here. I’ve booked a massage for today, and there are other spa options too, like nails. Just can’t say enough good things. Everything has been wonderful.

I’m biased, of course. My wife, sons, and I have been coming here once or twice a year for 20 years. The boys first loved the great facilities and activities for kids, and now they’re 23 and 28 and still love the place. The food is fantastic, especially for me, and the hotel and staff keep up traditional values with a friendly, efficient atmosphere. I couldn’t recommend it more.

My daughter and I stayed for a long weekend and had a fantastic time. Their Corona Concept was solid, and they took care of everything we asked for. There’s a great range of things for kids, younger children, and teens. The staff were nice, the food was good, and the rooms were modern, with lovely scenery around us. We’ll be back!

We’ve now tried two family hotels, so I naturally compare them. This one is rated 4 stars, while the other had 4 stars S, and you can feel the difference. For lunch, there were basically only two choices, and the breakfast buffet seemed small. Still, what they offered was enough for us. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and although our seven month old couldn’t make use of many things, we felt the hotel offered fewer options but did the essentials very well. The Preis/Leistung felt right to us.
