Ms. Kroth made me feel welcome and was always happy to answer questions, so I felt well looked after throughout my six-night solo stay in the "Widderstein" vacation apartment. At €90 a night, the price felt right for the quality. The large balcony is a lovely place to relax in summer, with mountain views. Inside, the bathroom is very modern, the bedroom has a large, comfortable bed, and the kitchen is fully equipped. The countertop does show some wear. I’d definitely stay here again.

Ms. Kroth is a wonderful hostess, and you can ask her anything. She can also arrange delicious fresh rolls. We stayed in the Talblick apartment and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was neat, beautiful, and super clean, with plenty of space, a fully equipped kitchen, a nice bathroom, and good Wi-Fi.

The view is priceless, and we highly recommend this place. The apartment was spotlessly clean, which is rare for a vacation rental. The hosts gave us a very friendly welcome. Inside, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the bathroom was beautiful, modern, and stylish.

The location was the one real plus for us. We stayed in August, but the house itself was noisy, with the owners regularly stomping around, and looked quite worn (see photos). The large apartment felt nowhere near big enough for 10 people, and the beds were very old, patched with bandages, with worn mattresses that only felt better thanks to a topper. There were also toilets in the hallway, like leftovers from another era, and blue supports holding up a balcony, which made us wonder whether that was even allowed. Hospitality was a letdown too. The hosts only seemed friendly when we approached them, and they greeted just the first guests to arrive rather than welcoming the group, which felt very different from the convivial Austrian hospitality we’ve appreciated for over 40 years. We left without anyone there to say goodbye. It felt as if they were happy as long as the money was paid. We won’t return or recommend the house. Next year we’re heading back to the Salzburg region.
