We booked our next two holidays at Alpenstüble before we’d even left. It was that good. Our family of two adults and a six-year-old spent seven days in Apartment Topas and felt right at home. The apartment was spacious and cozy, with a kitchen equipped with everything we needed. The location made getting around easy: the Zaferna lift, Skischule Mittelbarg and its practice area, a supermarket, and the bus stop are all nearby. The hosts were genuinely friendly, attentive and helpful. The wellness area is thoughtfully laid out, and we also made use of the garage and ski storage. There’s a foosball table and a fridge stocked with drinks at fair prices, too. We skipped breakfast, though it always looked great, and the bread delivery service worked perfectly.

That spot right beside the Zaferna lift is hard to beat, especially in winter. We found the Alpenstüble apartments modern and roomy, with the comfort you want after a day in the mountains. The staff were attentive and welcoming without being showy, and the wellness area made the stay even better. Breakfast stood out for its quality and variety, with the selection changing regularly. It’s the sort of hidden gem you almost hesitate to talk about, in case it gets so popular you can’t book a room. A wonderful place all around.

We keep coming back every year, whatever the season, because staying here feels like being at home. The location is central, with shopping, hiking and skiing all close by. Even on bad weather days, there are wellness and leisure areas to keep both kids and adults occupied. The rooms have plenty of useful comforts, from desks and comfortable seats to Netflix. Everything is lovingly put together, right down to the details, and the staff are incredibly friendly. It’s simply a pleasure to stay here.
