Walser Lodge

We had a very relaxing mountain hiking holiday in a beautiful, modern apartment with stunning valley and mountain views. Everything worked perfectly, and it was equipped to a very high standard. The free pass for buses and lifts throughout the valley was a great bonus. Andrea Heim was warm and welcoming. We had to postpone for two years because of Covid, but it was worth the wait!

The view from the balcony is gorgeous, looking straight over the ski slope and the impressive Kleinwalsertal mountains. The location is handy for walking routes and the lift, yet still peaceful. The hostess had everything organized well, and getting in and out went smoothly. We had another great stay at Walserlodge in Mittelberg. The apartment feels modern and stylish but still cozy, and everything is clean, new, and finished with care. The kitchen has good equipment for cooking, the beds are excellent, and the bathroom is roomy and comfortable. After a day hiking or skiing, it was a pleasure to come back. There's a separate heated room by the entrance for skis and boots. We'll be back next year for another relaxing mountain break.

The hillside setting gives the Walser Lodge a great view over Mittelberg, and hiking trails start right nearby. It was a lovely base for unwinding or heading out for walks. The big windows made it feel like we were sitting on a terrace, even when it was cold outside. There's plenty of guest parking in front. Our apartment was cozy and homelike, with excellent beds and mattresses, and we slept really well. Every room was in perfect shape. Everything was clean and tidy, even in the spots people don't usually check. The furnishings were generous and well chosen, no cheap DIY junk. Small requests were handled quickly, though we didn't have any big ones. Our friendly, accommodating hostess looked after us very well, sharing lots of useful information and documents before the trip. The security deposit was returned quickly and easily, with no questions asked. After a day out, the lovely sauna and relaxation area were great, and there's a comfortable shower right there. The hallway cupboard has plenty of games for evenings, and there's a ski room for skis and hiking boots by the entrance. Wi-Fi was excellent, with enough bandwidth to work if needed.

The owner made a real difference to our stay. She was easy to reach, checked in regularly, and shared useful tips in a warm, unobtrusive way. Thanks for such a wonderful week, we'd love to return to Höfle. We felt at home at the Walser Lodge in Mittelberg from the start. The apartment was beautifully furnished and spotless, and the kitchen had everything we could want. We especially enjoyed the sauna after a day in the snow. Its use by all five apartments was simple and seamless.
