Bauernhof Familie Voithofer

We spent three nights at this lovely farm as a family of five, with two adults and three children. Our two-bedroom flat was clean and had a fully equipped kitchen. The host was very nice and charming, and the location and views were great. Highly recommend for families.

We stayed with the Voithofer family in February and felt at home as soon as we arrived. The Gaisstein holiday apartment was beautifully furnished. We made good use of the sauna and relaxation area that time of year, and had some real quality time. The farm delivered on its promises, and Waltraud and Fritz were genuinely warm and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Our kids got to watch the cows being milked and collect eggs themselves, and the natural swimming pool was an absolute highlight. Fritz and Waltraud are incredibly kind hosts. The apartment and the whole farm were spotless and beautiful, with very high-standard furnishings. We had forgotten vinegar and dishwasher tablets, and they brought them right away without any fuss. They also suggested fantastic excursions. We booked again for the following year before we left.

The apartments are modern and cozy, with a practical layout, and the whole farm is kept beautifully, indoors and out. We’ve been coming to Torlehenhof since 2022, and the family made us feel welcome from the beginning. They’re warm, open and easy to talk to, and always happy to help with advice or local recommendations. The children get to join in with farm life: milking in the barn, brushing the ponies, petting the kids, feeding the pigs and gathering eggs. They learn things by doing that they’d otherwise only read about. For us, it’s a lovely place to unwind among the mountains, with fresh air and wonderful views. There are loads of hikes and other things to do with the children nearby, and we never get tired of swimming in the natural pool after a walk. We’re already looking forward to coming back to Torlehenhof next year. 😉
