The pool was a real highlight, with plenty of room to swim laps. The location worked so well too, shops were within walking distance and the ski bus stopped almost right outside. Staff were amazing and helpful from day one. Breakfast was the weak point: not much choice, no pastries, and bacon and eggs were the only hot option all week. They were cooked fresh to order, though, and you could have as much as you wanted. We're English, and the daily information wasn't available in English, so we missed some of the Christmas activities for children.

The whole family made good use of the pool, wellness area and playground, and enjoyed seeing the pigs and ponies. The nearby trips were breathtaking. It's an older hotel, but clean and everything worked. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the homemade food was really tasty, though the menu was limited. Wi-Fi on the third floor was very poor. We felt we got five-star value for money.

The bike ride was amazing and challenging, and we had a blast. We called at the last minute about electric mountain bikes and, though we weren't hotel guests, got the last two at a very fair price. Parking was free and easy. Picking up the bikes took a while because one young receptionist was handling the whole queue, while two managers seemed to be chatting at the desk instead of helping. She was patient, knew her stuff, gave us great maps of the area and showed us the bikes. They were quite small for us, but we rented them anyway since they were the last ones. When we returned, she helped again and charged us a small fee for the half day.

Our vehicle broke down, so we ended up staying here unexpectedly. Daniel at reception was especially helpful, the facilities were excellent, and the food was good too. It turned into a very pleasant stay.
