Bauernhof Dirnberger

We had a wonderful 14 days here, and the hosts were warm, friendly, and full of useful ideas for day trips. The apartment was cozy and nicely furnished, with comfortable beds, everything clean and cared for, and a practical kitchen where we made decent meals. There was plenty of room in the living area, including a big sofa and TV. The children had loads to enjoy outside: a huge pool, barbecue spot with a little building, and a playground with a large trampoline. Cats, rabbits, cows, and a pony live on the farm too, which made it very child-friendly. The surrounding lakes were clear and lovely for swimming, and hikes up the nearby mountains brought us to amazing panoramic views. Our first look from the apartment balcony was the Schafberg mountain beside beautiful Mondsee lake. That view set the tone for the whole holiday. We enjoyed every minute. Thank you so much!

The apartments were spotless, and the views from the balcony and pool are lovely. There’s no bread service, but the bakery and supermarkets are only a three-minute drive away. Guests in the rooms get breakfast. The place has three apartments for at least four people each, plus two rooms for two or three people. The owners are friendly and helpful. Kids can help in the stable, and I even got to use the tractor. Cats and a rabbit wander around, and the owners’ daughter, born in 2008, and son, born in 2005, love playing with guests’ children. There’s a well-kept pool with a table, chairs, loungers, and a barbecue, so you can sit out together in the evening. We stayed twice for two weeks and never got bored, even when it rained for a few days. There’s plenty to do nearby. Swimming and boating with kids at Mondsee is great, and Mondsee itself is a charming village. We also visited or explored places including Salzburg, Schafberg, Keltenblitz, Königssee, Fishunkelalm on Lake Obersee, Eagle's Nest, Dachstein, and a few gorges.

We had a large apartment with a balcony and parking right beside the guesthouse. The place is very quiet, with a lovely view over Lake Mondsee and the Schafberg mountain range. There’s a pool there to cool off in too. I was very satisfied. Thank you fam. Spielberger.

We stayed with the Dirnberger family from August 31st to September 8th, 2024, and our Akita, Kira, was welcome too. The apartment was modern, very clean, and had a neat bathroom and toilet. The two country-style bedrooms had lovely wooden furniture. From the balcony off the eat-in kitchen, we could see Lake Mondsee and the surrounding mountains. We were lucky with a full week of sunshine, so I got to swim in the pool every day. Elfie and Andrea were attentive, very friendly hosts. Our granddaughter Kimberly joined us for the first few days and loved it. We also spent a day at the Mondsee Alpine lake resort, which is a dream for kids. It was a wonderful vacation, and we’d love to return. We’ve already booked our next stay with Elfie and Andrea at the Dirnbergerhof.
