6/10
The restaurant had a great wine selection, but both the wine and food felt overpriced. You can eat much better in pretty much any Italian village. At these prices, I expected staff to avoid serving a meat amuse-bouche to people who hadn't ordered any meat dishes. That didn't happen, and we were disappointed. The outdoor area is beautiful, but inside, the rooms look like they were decorated by someone with the tackiest taste imaginable: faux-fur throws and flashy paintings. At night the restaurant played loud music, switching from the smooth jazz at dinner to trashy, badly remixed Italo-disco. We stayed in the Austrian countryside hoping to breathe fresh air at night, and the noise badly affected our sleep.

The cooking was superb. Simple dishes made with top-quality products, and that’s really all there is to say about the food.

The wine was the best, the food was the best, and the service was the best. That says it all for me.

Compliments to Mario, the chef. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent.

The food was great, though the crowd felt oddly pseudo-fancy and the place a bit pretentious.
