Pension Amelie

Irma and her husband looked after the property and their guests so well. We could reach Irma by phone whenever we had a question, and our apartment was spotless when we arrived. Thanks so much, Irma, we had a lovely stay and will definitely be back. 😍 In May, my son, his girlfriend and I stayed in the large apartment. It had two bedrooms, an open kitchen and dining space, and big windows facing the charming courtyard. The cooking island and American/country style made the kitchen a highlight. It had everything needed for cooking, though we brought our own ingredients, of course. The house and garden have the feel of a small former farm, with three smaller apartments as well. Outside, there are three carefully arranged seating areas under pergolas and shady trees, with room to eat. It's simply wonderful, and with its rustic charm I think it's a little gem in any season.

The courtyard was a real treat for our children. From our ground-floor detached suite, they could go straight outside to play and explore, away from traffic and strangers. It's a romantic flower and rose garden, with a lovely scent that made us think of southern climes. We were very happy with our three-night family stay at Pension Amelie, from booking directly through the website to leaving. The newly renovated suite was lovingly furnished and very clean, with daily cleaning, bed making and fresh towels. Breakfast was delicious and offered plenty of choice, including homemade and regional items such as jams, Bircher muesli and different egg dishes. The guesthouse feels very family-run, with about 10 rooms, so it has a homey atmosphere. In the foyer by the entrance, breakfast room and reception, there was a refrigerator of chilled drinks that was restocked daily, as well as another fridge for guests' things. Irma and her husband were keen to meet guests' wishes, including in the garden and courtyard. You can feel how much they care about the place and their guests. We felt comfortable right away, highly recommend it and would love to return!

We felt completely at ease here. The owner was very friendly, the guesthouse is in a prime location, and the rooms are decorated with care. The breakfast buffet had everything we could want. Check-in by phone was very easy, and we picked up the key from an outside safe. No hassle at all. Top-notch! 👌

There’s plenty for everyone here: a picturesque lake, lots of lovely little villages and great routes for cycling. The hosts are wonderful and do their best to meet every need.
