Hotel Sonnhof am Hochkonig

The food was a real highlight, and the hotel's beautiful setting made the whole stay even better. What I appreciated just as much was how kind and attentive the staff were. They were always ready to help us make things more enjoyable. Our room was spotless and well cared for, so we felt comfortable right away. I'd gladly recommend the hotel and stay again.

We’re already planning to return in summer, and wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. The managers were so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and you could see how much care goes into keeping the place pristine. Even the large sauna was spotless, as were the corridors and lifts. We spent four nights at this stunning traditional Alpine hotel. Our big bedroom had one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in, plus a balcony with the same mountain views we enjoyed from the restaurant and bar. We arrived late at night, but the owner had left our keys in an envelope along with directions and the WiFi password, which made getting in easy. The room was huge and spotless, with a great mattress and a lovely balcony. The views were amazing too.

The new owners have brought back the cosy atmosphere and feel of the old days, and they really seem to understand how to run the hotel. Breakfast has plenty to choose from, dinner was very tasty, and service was friendly and smooth. Management listens to suggestions. Keep it up.
