We booked two bedrooms for my family, and both were clean and pleasant. The beds were comfortable, with cotton sheets that made for a good night's sleep. Parking right by the entrance made unloading our luggage easy. Since the village is so isolated, I also felt safe leaving a few things in the car trunk. The area was quiet, with easy access to forests and mountains. After a long journey, we enjoyed walking among the trees. Breakfast was simple but had what we needed for a good start to the day. I was very happy with our choice, and the rating seemed much too low for what the hotel offers. My one suggestion is that the reception hosts could be friendlier. Otherwise, everything was good.

The room's furniture was coming apart, and anything screwed to the wall wobbled or seemed ready to fall off. We also couldn't leave the windows open because the balcony was shared with neighboring rooms. At first we thought the toilet hadn't been cleaned properly, but the awful smell was coming from the bedding. It smelled like old urine, so badly that we brought a blanket up from the car and shoved the bedding into the closet. Looking back through the reviews, I see others mentioned the bedding smell too. We left before breakfast, so I can't comment on it.

It's not the cleanest place, but it costs much less than other hotels and the breakfast is nice, so I think the rating is too low. The rooms are okay, with clean sheets, regular towels, and a decent bathroom. The mattresses really should have been replaced a while ago, though. Be careful when you sit on the bed, especially if you're dieting.

The dinner room had a cozy, country-style feel and the beer was good, though the food was much too salty for us to enjoy it more. The pension itself has a nice, warmly lit, family-run atmosphere. The room, bed, and shower were clean, the shower had strong pressure, and we could see bright stars at night. It's a bed and breakfast at the foot of the hill, with a small country-style TV. It was 10 degrees outside, and they said there was heating, but it turned out they meant the heated shower. The room radiators didn't work. Somehow the lights and house eventually warmed us up, like magic. For free Wi-Fi, all the guests had to compete for one magical armchair by reception. Only the landlady spoke English, not the children. It was a pleasant experience staying in a small neighborhood at the foot of the hill, though I don't think it was especially good value for money.

The bedding smelled so bad that I couldn't sleep. I have allergies and expected the sheets, blankets, and everything else to be washed after the previous guest, but it clearly hadn't been. I went down looking for someone at reception, where there should have been a person, but no one was there. I used nearly all my perfume on the bed and blanket. We asked for fresh blankets the next morning. After our day trip to the nearby mountain, we came back around 5 pm and found everything unchanged. I'd thrown the blanket on the floor before leaving, as the bathroom instructions said to do, so they'd know which one. The landlady said she'd changed the sheets. I told her they were the same ones, with two cigarette holes, and showed her a photo I'd taken on arrival. She got angry, came to our room, said I was lying, smelled them, and insisted she'd changed them and they were fine. I told her they still smelled and asked only for a new blanket, even if she thought the smell was okay. She shouted that they had no other blankets. For a three-star hotel, they should have more blankets and wash them. My mother and the landlady argued that this was unacceptable, then the chef came in and they both told us to leave if we didn't like it. I just wanted a clean blanket, not a stinking one. They took the blankets away, and after 30 or 40 minutes on the phone with the firm we booked through, we were told we'd get our money back. We left in a hurry, and the bed was still without blankets. I didn't know whether we'd get any at all. The staff were very unfriendly and didn't seem to care about guests. At dinner, the landlady told us it started at 6:30 pm. We went for a walk and returned at 7. The woman serving shouted that we should have been there at 6:30. When we asked if there was anything left, she said there might be something if we came right then. We didn't even know what dinner was, since there was no menu. While we waited, she threw the food and drinks onto the table. In the morning we asked reception to check the TV, which wasn't working, and the landlady blamed us, saying we'd touched it. It was fixed shortly after. I don't know who gave this place three stars. There are no stars for this hotel.
