Only the attentive, friendly service rescued the evening a little. The six of us went to Gasthof Parditsch for cheese fondue on the final night of our ski holiday, and it was the worst and most expensive fondue any of us had ever had. There were two pots, each only about a third full, and we finished them quickly. After some discussion, they brought another pot for six people, charging an extra €15 at the owner's instruction. The accompanying "potato and vegetable plate" was cold and mostly braised onions, about two-thirds of it. We all agreed it was a complete disappointment and absolutely wouldn't recommend it. This review is only about the restaurant visit. We can't comment on the hotel.

Elke, the hostess, and all the helpers and staff were incredibly friendly. The rooms and bathrooms, like the house itself, are top-notch, and the food was perfect. This was my second visit, and it won't be my last. The location is fantastic too. Keep up the great work, and greetings from Upper Franconia! :-)
