Haus Elisabeth

The apartment itself was spacious, immaculate, and cleaned daily, with a fully equipped kitchen. The setting is beautiful, and the bus stop is easy to reach. But it’s on the lower ground floor and was quite cold during our five-night stay. The heating rarely seemed to be on, and the radiators were only lukewarm for a short time each day. The towel radiator stayed cold, so our towels were never dry by morning. The bedroom was uncomfortably chilly, with humidity building up overnight. Sound insulation was poor too. From bed, we heard every step, cough, and other noise from upstairs at 5 a.m. each morning. With the cold, damp, and noise, I can’t recommend it.

I’ve stayed at Haus Elisabeth three times while visiting Stubai, and each visit has been great. It’s easy to get to and has beautiful views. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the owners are lovely, helpful people. Communication before arrival is always quick and easy. I’ll definitely be back :)

There may be apartments closer to Stubai glacier or ones with more luxury, but I’m fairly sure they can’t offer better value for the money than Haus Elisabeth. It’s spacious, extremely clean, and run by very friendly hosts. For anyone who wants to cook for themselves, it has all the necessary amenities. I think it’s the perfect lodging experience, and you’ll struggle to find better in most of Austria. Just go for it. We’ll definitely return.

The host was so friendly and accommodating. A great base for skiing in Stubai Tal, highly recommended.
