Pension Almrausch

The service and location earn four stars from me. I found a good package with accommodation and half board at a reasonable price. The staff were very kind, the food was good, and breakfast had plenty to choose from, with delicious dishes. Almrausch is a 15-minute drive from Stubai Glacier. I appreciated the bus service to the ski area, with two departures in both the morning and afternoon, and the parking above the hotel. The hotel looks better from outside than it does inside the room. Mine was small and old-fashioned and needs renovating. The sink was close to the bed, the carpet was damaged, and so was the wall. It was okay for one night. The property is split between two buildings 500 meters apart. My room was in the second building, which had no services inside, so I had to go outside and walk to the main building for check-in, breakfast and dinner. Even in snowy weather, the short walk wasn't a problem. For skiers without high expectations, it's a good, inexpensive option for a short stay.

The spa was a lovely discovery at the end of our hiking stay, just what I needed to unwind after the mountain workout. The rooms were comfortable, and breakfast was delicious.

Breakfast was amazing and the hotel is nice, but the heating wasn't enough. We had to sleep in our clothes, and my daughter came down with a cold and a fever.

A good place for hikers to rest tired legs. Breakfast and dinner are served at the hotel above.
