From the living room, the snow-covered Wilder Kaiser was a lovely sight in the morning and again in the evening. We were four people staying over Christmas for a ski trip, and the “Wilder Kaiser” apartment gave us plenty of space, with comfortable modern furnishings. The quiet, lovely house is just outside the village and right beside the slope, so we could ski home from Baßgeiger Alm in the evening and catch the sunset. The family were incredibly friendly and helpful. They brought bread right to our door, and there was a fridge stocked with cheese, cold cuts, beer, and other drinks. We had a wonderful Christmas, felt very comfortable, and would love to return.

We had a great holiday at Griesbachhof and will definitely come back. The hostess was warm and accommodating, and gave us helpful recommendations and tips. The setting and mountain views are breathtaking, and it’s a fantastic place to start a hike. Our apartment was tastefully furnished and exceptionally clean. Griesbachhof is a beautiful house, and we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived, able to relax and enjoy our vacation.

We’ve been coming happily to Griesbachhof for the Hahnenkamm Races for several years, thanks to the lovely family who run it. There are options for groups of 2, 4, or 6 people, all in classic Tyrolean style, and the website photos are accurate. We’ve found everything we need in the apartments and double room, with nothing to criticize. The balconies are a yearly highlight, especially on clear days and in the evening. The ski slope is right outside, so you can go from the ski room straight into the Skistar St. Johann ski area. For the last run, Baßgeigeralm is a good choice, then it’s only a 3-minute walk back to the ski room. Fresh bread can be delivered to your door, the supermarket is 1.5 km away, and the train station is 1 km away. If something’s missing or not quite right, Christina or Bernhard will find a solution if you ask.

The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the apartments are clean and comfortable. Griesbachhof sits right by the ski slope, with access to the St. Johann ski area. At night, you get a fantastic view of Oberndorf and the Wilder Kaiser range. Five out of five stars.

The village is a short walk away, and the views are breathtaking. We’d never stayed here before, but we’ll definitely be back. Our week skiing went by far too quickly! We had a well furnished, luxurious apartment for four, complete with a dishwasher, while my parents stayed in a lovely double room that wasn’t too small. The farm has great rooms and apartments right on the slopes, and the whole family were kind and helpful. They brought fresh rolls every day and sold homemade sausage and eggs from their farm. It’s ideal for families with kids. There were chickens, cats, and calves to see and pet in winter, plus a slide and other toys. A truly top-notch stay! :-)
