The hosts were among the friendliest I've ever met. I've stayed here twice, and it's a wonderful hotel.

The host was really kind and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was good too.

The only little thing I'd mention is the shower tray. It's a shame to see one rusting in such a lovely bathroom, especially when it's already damaging the grout and tiles. That's probably just my personal bias 😂 Everything else made the stay feel worth it: a lovely place, clean accommodation renovated with care, and staff who went out of their way to help. They let us use the clothes dryer and recommended a restaurant, just as you'd hope 😍 P.S. I thought a black carpet might be worse than the world's worst white one, and it may be even more disgusting. Compliments to the maid ❤️

The one drawback was the weak Wi-Fi, which didn't work very well on the upper floors. Otherwise, this is a great guesthouse: the rooms are modern, cosy and clean, and there's a common room, ski storage and a ski bar where you can get delicious soup during the day. It's right by the ski slope, near the Edelweiß evening-skiing area and the Plattenkar cable cars. The staff are very nice and helpful, speak Czech, and are always glad to offer advice. I'd recommend staying here if you're going to Obertauern.
