We spent Christmas at Valamar Obertauern Hotel as a family and felt at home from the moment we arrived. The staff were kind and professional, the hotel was very clean, and the food was excellent. Christmas Eve was especially lovely for the children, thanks to Santa Claus handing out gifts. He was fantastic, and the whole team helped make things feel warm and festive. Their efforts made it possible for us to have a beautiful holiday away from home. We'd highly recommend this hotel for a magical winter and Christmas stay.

The restaurant had a great range of food, with plenty of choice, and our servers Edvin and Stipe were attentive, warm, and friendly all week. The staff welcomed us so warmly for our week of skiing, showed us around right away, and made us feel at home. The hotel is close to the slopes and has excellent boot and drying facilities. We'll be booking another trip for 2027.

Everything was 5/5. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the food was great, with plenty of variety and something for every taste. The wellness area was clean and well kept. The location is great, and the staff were ready to help with anything, from parking and skis to local recommendations.

The hotel is close to some good ski trails, and it works especially well if you or your kids are learning to ski, with lots of group and individual options. We had a great experience.
