We were glad we chose to stay overnight in Obertauem instead of Hashtatt. It was quieter with fewer tourists, and in the morning we had coffee in the backyard, beside a clear little stream and beautiful scenery. You can take the bicycles and ride about 100m less toward a naturalistic children's playground with a view of the lake. The house and rooms were well maintained and clean, and the owners were so friendly and caring toward our family. We'd definitely recommend it to families.

The hosts were as gracious and friendly as ever, and it was fun to see that they keep their own bees. If you're nervous around bees, they're not that close. From the veranda you can step into a garden with a small stream running through it. The apartment has a lovely kitchen, veranda, comfortable beds and living rooms. It's right by a huge lake and close to a children's park. A peaceful getaway that suits couples and families.

The open balcony and beautiful countryside made us love this apartment straight away. Ms Hubert gave us a helpful rundown of nearby places and got check-in done in a snap.

Our host was incredibly kind and helpful, sharing lots of information about the area. There was a gap in the transport schedule, and she even offered to take me to Hallstatt. Nothing was too much trouble. At the end of my trip, this apartment gave me such a wonderful experience that I’d come back if I visit Austria again. I have lots of photos, but the internet in Vienna is pretty poor, so I’ll upload more once I’m back in my country.

The surroundings are beautiful and well looked after, and the place itself is cosy and comfortable. The owners are cheerful, friendly, and genuinely helpful. I really loved staying here and would recommend it to people from anywhere.
