Obertraun is a quiet village of 702 people, and we had a very enjoyable stay in this clean apartment for five. It has a kitchenette, fridge, microwave, toaster, and hot water. Mr Franz, a lovely old man, built the apartment building himself. The supermarket is a 10 minute walk away, though it closes on weekends. For Dachstein skiing, take bus 543 and reach the cable car in five minutes; in the other direction, the same bus gets you to Hallstatt in 10 minutes. Highly recommend for visitors to Austria.

The Traun riverside has such an old world charm, with awesome mountain views. Mr.Franz was hospitable and made us comfortable. Loved the experience, thank you 💓
