Adventure Camp

The bungalows are packed close together, so we heard every step and whisper from next door. The barbecue setup was frustrating too: too few tables and grills for the number of guests, and the smoke blew straight into other guests' rooms because the space is so small. The wood supplied was construction waste with nails, and I nearly cut myself several times while looking for pieces that weren't rotten and usable. The breakfast didn't look like the booking-site photos. Those were taken in the adjacent building with reception, which is a different hotel. The dishes had chips in them, which seemed dangerous. We also found a black mold patch on the shower ceiling, absolutely disgusting and a health concern, especially for children. For four days there were no paper towels in the toilets or showers. This felt like poor value: the bungalow-like room had bedding, plates and cups, a fridge, and a safe, but no towels, while the shared shower room had no shower gel or shampoo. At arrival, we were told guests usually bring those themselves. Reception is in another building across the complex, and the staff member didn't apologize, just looked displeased. I understand that for tent camping, but these are bungalows, especially at this price. There are real hotels in town with similar amenities for a fraction of the cost, and I've seen campsites provide shampoo and shower gel in shared bathrooms. This was the first holiday where I encountered so much negativity.
