APART Landhaus Gstrein

The reviews had us excited, but the stay was disappointing. Our small second-floor apartment was meant for four, with the children sleeping in the little living room. The layout was really poor, since we had to walk through our only bedroom to get to the toilet. There wasn’t much room for four, and the bathroom was small and only accessible through the bedroom. The bedroom’s little skylight barely let in fresh air on a muggy summer evening or night. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and there was no oven. Hospitality also left a lot to be desired. After driving more than seven hours, we called politely to say we’d arrive a bit late, around 8:00 PM. The children were hungry, so we suggested stopping somewhere to eat first, but that wasn’t appreciated. We drove on to collect the keys instead. We won’t do that again!

The owners are really friendly and helpful, which is why we booked again right away after staying here last year. The ski lift is right nearby, and the town center is only a short walk away. For parents, the lovely outdoor pool is just a few minutes away too.

The owners are attentive and always willing to help. The apartment is spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and private parking. You can walk to the village center, and even though it’s on a busy road, you can’t hear anything inside.

We felt very comfortable here and would gladly return. The house is clean and very quiet, with a tasty breakfast buffet and really friendly owners. It’s right beside the gondola for the Hochoetz ski area.
