Herzblut Wohlfühl Appartements

House number 8 is spacious and fully equipped, with two large bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, and a big balcony looking out over the mountains. In the Otz area, this is an excellent house for four people, and there are eight apartments in different sizes. It can be booked through booking or airb&b, or you can contact the owner. The only drawback is that the entrance stairs aren't easy to manage with equipment, though it can be done. It's a truly luxurious place, and the price isn't cheap, but it's centrally located for star hikes in the Otz Valley.

We chose the smallest room, and it suited our needs perfectly. The owners were great hosts and happily helped with a few requests. The kitchen is well equipped for light meals, breakfast, and food to take along. From the balcony there's a perfect view of the mountains and part of town. In September, late morning sun reaches it, making it a lovely spot for coffee. There's also a nice Austrian-style guest room for everyone to use. WiFi was okay, but a little slow. The property is in the upper part of town, about a 10-minute walk from the center.

Those two balconies made the apartment feel like a postcard, with the whole valley spread out in front of us when we woke up. We stayed six nights in July 2022, parents and two kids, and the Oetztal card included in the price saved us a lot. The mattresses were so comfortable we had trouble getting up in the morning. Oetz itself worked really well as a base, with restaurants, supermarkets, the highway to Innsbruck, and easy access to everything around the valley. There’s plenty to fill weeks here, from activities and attractions to walking and cycling trails and cable cars. The facilities and views were lovely, but Kai and Petra’s hospitality was what made the week feel like a dream. We all highly recommend staying here.

The Zirpen Holz room is wonderful, especially the lovely scent while you're sitting and reading. Everything was super clean and comfortable, and Kay und Petra were fantastic hosts who made us feel at ease. Thanks for such a great stay. I'm already looking forward to coming back.
