The wellness area looked spacious and well equipped, with classic and infrared saunas and a steam bath, though I didn’t use it. We stayed five nights with a big group over New Year 2025 and skied at Hochkar, about a 25-minute drive away. The hotel is surprisingly large, with lots of rooms. We had room 19 on the first floor, with a spacious layout and a view of the hills to the west. Room sizes vary, but the bathrooms are spacious too. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel each day. The breakfast spread had plenty for the whole family, from ham, cheese, bacon and omelette to yogurt, muesli, sweets, local juices and coffee. Outside seating seemed to be available in summer, but we didn’t use it then. On December 31 there was a special buffet dinner with local dishes to try. Staff were very helpful, and English worked fine. I’d recommend staying here any time of year.

The ecological approach was something I really appreciated, along with all the little thoughtful touches. My wife and I stayed six nights in this lovely Pension, surrounded by beautiful scenery. The people were kind, friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice, and the cuisine was excellent. And the sauna was super. Highly recommended.

We could help ourselves to drinks from the fridge in the evenings, even on closed days, which fit the friendly, trusting feel of the place. Breakfast was cooked to order on the quiet morning, while on the busier day it was served buffet style. There was plenty of locally sourced food, including really good yoghurts.

We stopped for a late lunch and the food was freshly made and still hot. The schnitzel was good, though the plate as a whole felt a little dry and the meal could have used something extra. Still, we’d come back and try another dish since the other food looked really good. The setting is beautiful, right next to the road, yet it stayed quiet and peaceful.
