The hotel is clean, in typical Austrian style, and includes breakfast and dinner in the all-inclusive rate. Housekeeping does a great job and stays unobtrusive. Dinner portions are small, and the food has a novice gourmet feel. The sauna isn't much to write home about, with smaller rooms and water or hot tea to drink. It's a short walk to the Zürsersee lift. The price was about €200.00 per person per night, excluding drinks, parking, tips, and the lift pass.

We had a lovely lunch at the hotel restaurant, with tasty pasta and burger choices and hot chocolate to finish. The servers were attentive and spoke English. Even at -1C, the outdoor seats were warm enough with furs and blankets. I'd have given it four stars, but the card machine wouldn't take any of our US MasterCard, VISA, or Amex cards. We had to rush out to an ATM ten minutes away for cash, which was frustrating.

It felt like staying in a mountain home. The crew were probably the sweetest, most service-minded people I've ever met, and they made the stay feel special and cosy. The rooms are fairly basic, with short, somewhat hard mattresses, but everything else came very close to perfect. The included cooking was impressive in both quality and presentation. We'll definitely be back.
