Das Pfandler Hotel

The hotel is right across the road from the cable car, so it’s a great base for skiing in Pertisau, in Tirol’s Achensee skiregion. There’s also a simple swimming pool with a lounge where you can look out at the mountains and lake, plus a fitness room with some equipment and a sauna. At the entrance, the bar and reception serve drinks and small meals at pretty normal prices. Dinner offers two soups, meat, fish, or a vegetarian main, and dessert, with salads you can help yourself to. There’s even a little shop connected to the hotel, so you can get to it without going out into the cold, and it has almost everything you’d see in a supermarket. The family-run hotel has a warm atmosphere that brings many guests back every year, sometimes twice or more. Family Entner, including the little children who run around the hotel, make it feel welcoming. Rooms are well maintained and cleaned each morning; they have a good bed, small fridge, seating area, and nice bathroom. Breakfast includes different breads, yogurt, muesli, egg dishes, cheese, meat, juices, marmalade, honey, and cake. It’s in the beautiful town of Pertisau, Austria.
