The breakfast was spot on, with a great selection of meats, cheeses, and cereals, plus eggs made to order. We also enjoyed sitting outside in the evening, looking over the lake with a couple of beers and a book. Oliver and his wife were lovely to chat with and very accommodating. Das Landhaus Hauptmann is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. It’s a short walk to a train station, right beside the private beach, and the key comes with the room keys. Anyone worried it’s a bit out of the way should check the location before booking. We had a wonderful stay, highly recommend it, and I’ll be back with my partner. Thanks very much!

We only had one night here, which was a shame. After arriving tired, my wife and I were quickly made to feel at ease by the host. Our room was spotless, had a wonderful bed, first-class amenities, and a beautiful lake view. Breakfast was included and terrific. We ate on a Sunday morning and were even treated to a glass of champagne, a great start to the day. I’d certainly recommend this place. Best wishes from Wolf and Carole in Canada.

The hotel was cosy and really nice, and the staff were friendly. They speak very good English and a little Italian. Our room looked out over the lake, and there’s a small spa with a sauna. It would’ve been nicer to have some soft music and water available in the spa.
