A quiet, energising spot, a long way from the rush of the city. The valley and village are picturesque without feeling too touristy, and the owners are lovely. The facilities are very nice too. If you're after noisy après-ski parties, this isn't the place. We plan to come back in summer.

Kinga and Christian, the new owners, and the staff made us feel at home and were flexible with special requests for our kids. The rooms have been recently renovated in a nice, modern style, and the sauna area is lovely. Dinner was a surprise each night, with terrific food from the new cook and three courses for only 25€. The hotel sits in a fairytale winter landscape that also looks great for summer hiking. We definitely plan to return.

The village is beautiful, with mountains all around. The hotel staff were friendly, breakfast was good, and there was lots of free parking right beside the place.

The setting is incredible, with plenty of walking routes nearby and other activities within 15 minutes by car or bus. The owners and staff are so kind that staying here feels almost like visiting good friends. We also loved the open setup for drinks, the coffee machine and sauna, and the homemade dinners were really good.

We stayed one night before heading out for our walk to the Johannis hütte. The owner was really friendly and took time to answer all our questions. We had a delicious three-course dinner for €25 per person, with the option of more, and enjoyed a generous breakfast at the early time we requested. At the end of the valley, Heimat is a great base for hikes. The nearest supermarket is a ten-minute drive away. It was peaceful apart from the soothing sound of the river, and our room was clean and had what we needed.
