The trails are easy to reach, and the view of Schneeberg is among the best around. The rooms were clean and well equipped. The food also exceeded expectations: fresh, well-prepared fish and meat cooked just right. Two things bothered us. The sauna closes at 5:30 PM, while dinner runs from 6 to 7:30. If you’ve come to hike Schneeberg, that’s far too early. We would have picked somewhere else if we’d known beforehand. The biggest letdown was the service. The owners were lovely, but the staff seemed to lack even basic courtesies like saying hello, please, and thank you. Requests were met with eye rolls, heavy sighs, and passive aggression. Ordering drinks or asking for the lunch bill felt uncomfortable. In the end, we felt unwelcome. I’d recommend stopping for a meal, but for a longer stay I’d look at other options.

For just 10 euros, you can park a van overnight, and the service was nice. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. Feeding the trout was a lovely experience, and you can swim in the pond too. There’s a playground for kids, plus an amazing view of Schneeberg.

Delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. Our Hungarian waiter was the best, kudos to him!!! :)

The beer was good 😀. The place itself is beautiful, with amazing views and interior, but the food was tasteless. My smoked trout was very dry, and my friends’ pork steaks had no taste either.
