The hikes nearby were lovely, and it was very quiet when we visited after peak season. The hotel itself was charming, though a little dated, and we stayed two nights. Staff were excellent, friendly, and very helpful. The spa was a real treat: we expected a basic sauna, but found a whole complex with a pool, four different saunas and steam rooms, a relaxation lounge, cold shower, and refreshments. The sauna even had a scented snowball machine, which was a magical surprise. Dinner was okay, though a bit pricey. I’d highly recommend staying here and would visit again.

We were warmly welcomed, especially by Attila, who was a wonderful host. The Friday buffet dinner was great, with a wide range of dishes and desserts, and cost around 48 euros per person.

The setting is stunning for runners and hikers, and I was glad the hotel had a pool and gym too. My bedroom was comfortable and a good size, the food was good, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. I was here for a conference for a few days and really enjoyed the facilities and hospitality. It’s a shame I couldn’t stay for the whole week-long event. This was my first trip to Austria, and it didn’t disappoint.
