Gewürzmühle

The swimming pool was great, with a fantastic valley view, and the location was lovely for kids. The family-run staff were friendly and very helpful with our children’s allergy requests. Dinner was fine, nothing special, just okay. Our room had carpet, which isn’t ideal when you have allergies. We also heard a closet opening in another room, so the sound insulation may not be great everywhere. Still, it was definitely worth staying one night with the kids on our way home. Without the carpet, I’d have rated it five stars.

The service and staff were really good, and the rooms were decent. Having a car makes the location workable, but Radstadt town isn’t very close otherwise, so you can end up walking quite a bit. That may not suit everyone, especially in the snow. The balcony is a plus in summer. It’s by the roadside, so depending on which side your room faces, it can be noisy at times.

We’ve returned to this family-friendly hotel several times for ski holidays, and it’s been lovely every time. The rooms are clean, the food is fine, and the atmosphere is really good. It’s also well placed for driving to a number of ski resorts, so we’d recommend it.

We were a group of 21, and everything was handled so well, from breakfast and dinner to special requests. Absolutely wonderful hotel, 10/10, would recommend!
