The restaurant was the biggest letdown of our New Year’s ski stay. Service was pleasant but untrained and unprofessional. We ordered bottled wine, but an already opened bottle was brought to our table, apparently after being opened at the bar 😉. Breakfast was average, the afternoon snacks were very poor, and the buffet was almost empty halfway through the service. The dinners all had a similar style and weren’t very tasty, even though the chef tried to make them look nice. The dinner menu system was idiotic: even when there was only one soup or starter, we didn’t get it unless we clearly specified that we wanted it. New Year’s Eve dinner was well below expectations, with no welcome drink, no music, and worse food than on the other days. By 10 p.m. almost everyone had left the restaurant because there was nothing to do. We saw in the New Year in bathrobes on the balcony with our own champagne, watching a waltz on TV. It wasn’t what we expected. The hotel has plenty going for it, which made the poor value for money and our disappointment all the more frustrating. The location is great, the hotel is clearly investing, the rooms are very nice and modern, and the wellness area feels new. There’s even an elevator despite the building having only two floors, which was a big plus. The wellness area is beautifully done, but the pool water is too cold. It works for cooling off after the sauna, not as a thermal pool. The view from the pool is stunning and would make it a lovely place to relax, but there’s nowhere to sit on the wellness balcony, such as a bench. The ski room is in a separate building, and the boots there aren’t heated, which is a real problem if you have high flex boots. The hotel has a lot of potential, but it needs a few changes or that potential could go to waste.

We had such a beautiful experience here. The rooms were cozy and clean, the elevator has a gorgeous view, and the restaurant was one of the best we’ve ever been to. There are lots of attractions nearby, and the staff are always kind. I’ll be back with all my relatives.

We’d never been to Ramsau am Dachstein before, and Pehab turned out to be a great place to stay. The reception staff were really helpful, and everyone else was friendly too. The restaurant has an amazing view, with fast, super friendly service and good choices for the three dinner courses. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including bio bread and lots of fresh vegetables, and the coffee was really good. Our room was quiet and comfortable, and the balcony was a nice spot to unwind after a good day hiking. The hotel’s location is great too, right next to the homebase of television series Die Bergretter.

The food was the one part that took a star off our stay. We booked half board, and the fixed menu may suit local tastes, but it didn’t suit ours. It was written in the local language, so we had to translate it. The translation said fish, but the dish was actually octopus, which I’m allergic to. The other choice was beef, which we don’t eat. I might still not have taken off a star for that, but the waiter was rude and got annoyed that we weren’t eating instead of trying to understand our problem. Otherwise, the hotel was amazing. The two ladies at reception were always friendly, smiling, and ready to help. We booked a room with a view and got an amazing one. The rooms were very big and super clean. Breakfast was amazing, with fresh cheese, and the cold pressed juice machine was a lovely touch.

The hotel was better than we expected, and I’d recommend it for families. It’s in a great, quiet location, parking is free and available, and breakfast had a nice variety. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We called because we expected to arrive late, and they were very cooperative. I was looking forward to relaxing on the balcony at night, but it had no lights. The gym equipment could also be upgraded.
