The hotel’s atmosphere and location were nice, and parking was available. I could check in late, which helped for my one-night stay. The furniture and bathroom were old, though, and using the toilet meant crawling under the sink because it sat right next to it. Breakfast was the worst part. The room felt like a school cafeteria, the selection was very limited, and there were no boiled eggs, just salami. The cheese and marmalade were low quality, and the honey seemed poor too, the sort you’d only use in tea. You couldn’t choose where to sit: each guest had a table marked with their room number. When we asked to change, the nervous staff said no and moved our belongings without asking. They spoke only Czech, so communicating meant speaking Czech as well. Anyone calling this breakfast excellent must never have had breakfast before. Despite the breakfast and staff, the hotel itself wasn’t bad.

We had a pleasant stay at this fairly basic, budget-friendly hotel, which welcomes families and pets. Its location near the Langlaufen slopes is excellent, and there was plenty of parking. The room was clean and larger than average, though it was borderline cold even with the heating turned all the way up. There are three floors and no elevator, which could be difficult for older guests or anyone carrying large luggage. The staff were polite and friendly, and seemed to try their best to keep guests happy. The receptionist explained everything and let us check in an hour early. The person serving breakfast and dinner was amazing, working from early breakfast until late dinner and always staying friendly. Dinner was average, but not bad quality as some reviews suggest. The wellness area has a Finnish sauna, an infrared sauna and a steam cabin, though the steam cabin was out of order during our stay. We also received a winter card for slope discounts.

We were hiking around the Dachstein and only needed somewhere to sleep and have a warm shower. The hotel was close to a bus stop, a supermarket and the trail to the Guttenberghaus hut, but I wouldn’t stay here again. Salzkammergut Touristik had booked it for me.

Guests get free parking, and the Summercard is included in the price during summer. The hotel is well placed for the mountains, hiking routes and public transport, and the food service is good, with a three-course dinner served by default. Room noise was about what you’d expect in a hotel with a similar design.

We were looked after so well during our stay together. The hotel was clean and modern, with lovely wooden furniture and the best view from a window I’ve ever seen. It’s easy to reach, and the bus stop is 100 metres away, with routes to the main tourist trails. Breakfast was very good and just the right amount, but do try dinner too. For 15 euros, we got soup, salads, a main course and a variety of desserts. We don’t drink alcohol, so instead of the champagne offered free with a Slevomat trip reservation, they made us non-alcoholic mojitos. Those cocktails really brightened our evening. Thanks for everything. I hope we can come back one day!
