The location could have been good, but the rest of our stay was disappointing. In June the air conditioning only heated, since cooling was disabled, and the room was very dark. They'd left us a winter duvet in summer. Telephone support wasn't helpful, and the parking space on the deck wasn't marked. Breakfast felt like something from a 1-star hotel, with only canned fruit and special sausage, among other things.

The rooftop bar has a wonderful outlook over the Retz vineyards, and the hotel's location is excellent. We spent three days at the Sgrafit Hotel in Retz and were very satisfied. Check-in was easy to do ourselves, and the modern, stylish rooms had especially comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from. We can certainly recommend it.

We were in room 10 from March 21st to 22nd. The central location, attractive modern room, comfortable beds, and good breakfast buffet were all positives. The TV was a big letdown: we couldn't get any Austrian channels, including ORF 1, ORF 2, ATV, Puls 4, or Servus TV, nor ARD or other channels. At this price, that's NOT OK for us, and we wouldn't recommend the place. Breakfast music was much too loud and unsuitable, though it might be fine in the evening. The vanity is right in the room, there's nowhere to store clothes, and there's no shelf for your own shower gel.

The room has a modern, practical setup, but it's quite dark and noisy. At night, though, that wasn't a problem because Retz gets very quiet, even with the hotel right on the main square. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and give it 5 stars. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. Breakfast was carefully put together, with excellent coffee. The rooftop bar feels both modern and cozy, and has wide views across the rooftops to the vineyards.
