We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon after visiting the local Christmas market. The place is lovely and thoughtfully set up, with silver or silver-plated cutlery, fresh flowers, candlelight, and water already on the table when you arrive. Our appetizer was really good, nicely served and presented without trying to look posh. We also had a simple Wiener schnitzel and parsley potatoes, and the potatoes were an amazing experience. Funny how simple things can feel so special. The staff were friendly. Service maybe wasn’t the fastest, but we enjoyed the whole visit with our children. Absolutely recommended.

The location is great and the menu looked appealing, but we arrived at 11:30 and they wouldn't serve even soup until noon, so I can't really comment on the food. The staff could be a lot friendlier.

The food was wonderfully fresh and absolutely sublime. At night, you can feel the fresh breeze while looking out over the breathtaking village views. The whole atmosphere feels like something from a novel.

We had a terrible time at Rusterhof. After making us wait 40 minutes, they brought just one of our three portions, then we waited another 15 minutes for the bill. They also charged us 20 EUR for five drinks we never ordered or drank. When I asked for an itemized receipt, the waiter showed me the incorrect charge and put a 20 EUR banknote in my hand, murmuring "sorry." We really didn't expect service this bad. The place may have the best location in town, but the service is s**t. Shame on you, Rusterhof.
