The regional Joker card and the hotel’s location made it a great base for hiking. We arrived late, but the room access instructions were clear. Breakfast had lots of choices, the room and kitchen were very clean, and the staff were friendly and understanding. There was a drain smell in one bathroom. Staff treated it with a product and offered to move us to another room if it continued the next day. After some rain, the smell cleared completely. There’s no air conditioning, unfortunately.

The breakfast and shuttle service were both great, and the hotel itself is really nice. The rooms, though, get uncomfortably hot. Please turn the heating down.

The Joker card from reception let us leave the car behind and take the bus to the lifts, which came in handy since the weather wasn’t on our side. The hotel is outside the town centre by the main road, with plenty of parking, and it’s well placed for mountain bikers and hikers. Our room was spacious and well equipped, with a comfortable bed and good Wi-Fi. There’s a garage for storing bikes, though no e-bike charging station. We only stayed briefly, but we’ll definitely come back.

I only stayed one night before heading to Grossglockner, and couldn’t have asked for a nicer place. Each room has a fully stocked kitchen for cooking. The ground-floor rooms have a small patio where you can sit with drinks and snacks and watch the stars. The breakfast buffet looked very good, though I didn’t get to try it.
