Hotel Tiroler Buam

We found this hotel at the last minute and were delighted with the choice. Saalbach may be known for skiing, but in summer it works beautifully for hiking and cycling too, and the hotel was ready for that. Our apartment was roomy, clean and comfortable. The half-board breakfast and dinner were both excellent, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Everything was better than we'd expected. A great spot for a summer mountain break.

The restaurant was excellent, and the saunas were very good with convenient opening hours. We had a wonderful ski holiday at Hotel & Apartments Tiroler Buam. It's right by the main lift and ski bus stop, and there's a large parking area.

The location is excellent, just a short walk from the lift and slopes. Our rooms looked almost new, and the food was good, though we expected a little more based on the website. We wished there were more lobby spaces to relax before or after dinner. Dinner starting by 19:00 at the latest felt too early, especially since the restaurant takes outside guests much later. Part of our group was also pushed to leave before the 12:00 checkout, despite what our booking contract and the website said, and nobody had explained otherwise at check-in. We'll certainly consider coming back. Thanks to the team who looked after us.

We were chatting with the waiter about old menus and realized we've been eating here since 2017, in both summer and winter, apart from the Covid gap. Another fabulous meal. The food is consistently high quality and beautifully presented, and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. I had the venison ragu, which was fabulous, then apple pasta for dessert. They also make great pizzas for kids, along with simple choices like Schnitzel.
