The spa is lovely and well equipped, the food is good, the bar is decent, and all the staff are lovely. The location is beautiful, with towering mountains all around. The rooms are decent too, but I can't quite give this a 5/5. Our double bed was two singles pushed together, leaving a gap between the mattresses. There's no minibar or fridge, just a vending machine near the stairs, and no kettle, tea, or coffee in the room. That seems common in Europe, but still feels like something's missing. There's no iron in the room. The hotel information says there's an ironing room on each floor, but when we asked for the key, we found out no such room exists. The only option was laundry service at €5 per shirt. We only learned this on the evening of our event dinner. Reception said they could "probably" get it sorted in time, but they couldn't, so I was stuck with an unironed shirt. And why is it so hard for a hotel to have a wardrobe with enough height for a full-length dress? This hotel specializes in conferences and "posh" events where people might wear posh frocks. The otherwise lovely wardrobe is about 2.5m tall, but a shelf below the rail leaves room only for shirts and jackets.
