We finally made it back after four years, and got to have Pope’s cake again. It’s still the same place we love stopping at during our bike tour with the Duke. ❤️☺️

We had a great dinner here, and breakfast was just as good.

A lovely spot to pause for a good coffee while taking in the breathtaking mountain pass. Seeing it from a motorcycle or bike is something else.

The staff were so kind and attentive, even turning a seat cushion over for me when I was too sweaty and grimy to sit on it. They gently told me to keep my back warm so I wouldn’t catch a cold. I was utterly exhausted from cycling up the mountain in sweltering heat, so my review might be a little biased, but that iced coffee felt like a lifesaver. It was delicious, too, served in a lovely glass cornucopia with the coffee on the side so I could pour it myself.

It’s an ethnic Austrian restaurant and bar, and a family business, so you know they take good care of it. The prices are good, and they have lots of festivals with live bands.
