Montfort

We found Dorle, Juergen, and Felix Pirker genuinely delightful, and had some lovely chats with them, hopefully not too long! They helped us find local hikes and restaurants with vegan choices, and gave us a generous, nutritious vegan breakfast. Dorle even made homemade hummus, a thoughtful source of protein that can be hard to find in the area. Fresh vegetables, olive oil, non-dairy milk, porridge, nuts, and fruit were included too, all things we needed. We stayed five days at the Montfort Hotel in St. Anton am Arlberg. Our room was clean, comfortably spacious, and had a balcony. The self-service laundry was very convenient. The hotel is on the main road, a short walk from both the pedestrian area and the train station (Bahnhof), so it’s easy to get around. A huge, warm thank you from both of us!

The warm welcome and friendliness from the family and staff added a real home-from-home feeling to our summer week in St Anton. Hotel Montfort was a lovely place to stay, comfortable, clean, and cosy. Breakfast was fabulous too, especially the perfect soft-boiled egg for me. I'd been reading the reviews and worried I'd sound repetitive, but they really do capture it. We had a lovely week.

I spent a week here with my dad in a twin room, and had the most amazing time. The hotel has so much to enjoy, from an ice bath and relaxation room to a lovely lobby. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of hot and cold choices, and the best fresh scrambled eggs ever. More than anything, the staff were so kind and welcoming. They made us feel at home. I miss the place already and will definitely be back.

The owners and staff were warm and attentive throughout, and their local knowledge was a big help. They gave us great tips on ski runs, getting to other towns on skis, and restaurants. Breakfast had lots of choices, with eggs cooked fresh to order. We had a lovely seven-night stay at Hotel Montfort with our two kids, aged 12 and 14. Rooms #3 and 4 connect and worked perfectly for our family of four, with a small kitchen, balcony, beautiful views, and very comfortable beds. The kids had their own space and bathroom, which was great for us parents too. The hotel is in the middle of town, a block from the supermarket and equally distant from the chairlifts at either end. The shops, bars, and restaurants on the pedestrian strip are about a five-minute walk away. Though St. Anton is small, the hotel sits on a quiet stretch. I imagine the pedestrian street by the bars could be noisy at night. We had just one noisy night, on New Year’s Eve. We look forward to returning again and again.
