The food was so good that after every meal, we adults and the grandkids kept asking who had made it. It was always the owners’ son, so thank you for those wonderful meals. Renate, Franz, and the whole crew were pleasant and helpful, and every server was great. Katrine stood out for her excellent skills and sense of humor, though I may have the spelling wrong. It’s a clean, convenient hotel just across from the main ski gondola, about 30 meters away.

The location is fantastic: no car needed, with après-ski, the gondola, and ski shop right next door. The supermarket is up the hill, about a 15-minute walk away. We’ve been coming as a family for years, at least 40 if I remember right, and it still feels like coming home each time. Franz and Renate are warm and kind, Manuel cooks well in the kitchen, and the whole team deserves praise. They welcome you into a family atmosphere and are willing to work things out with you. It amazes me how much feels the same as it did years ago. There’s a sauna, a downstairs playroom for kids, and a heated area at the end of the hall where skis and snowboards are stored. There’s also a drying room for boots and, if needed, clothes. You have everything you need for a fantastic holiday.

What stood out most to us at Aparthotel Spitzer was the warm welcome and family atmosphere. You feel like a guest of lovely people right away, not just a room number, and it puts you in holiday mode. The hosts are very accommodating, the service is so friendly, and the food is fantastic. Its spot right beside the mountain railway is ideal for anyone who loves the outdoors. Five stars, with lots of heart. We’ll be back!
