Gastehaus Berger

We had a delicious breakfast in a warm family atmosphere, and the hostesses were incredibly welcoming. The Berger family’s charming rustic house has been renovated, and the rooms were spotless. It’s in a perfect spot, and St. Jakob has beautiful hiking trails with breathtaking views. A great place to unwind in nature!

We always look forward to coming back to the Berger family. Their guesthouse is lovingly furnished, the hosts are wonderful, and the location is superb. Staying here is the highlight of our year!

The breakfast is a treat, with farm-fresh yogurt, delicious bread, and wonderful homemade jams. On Sundays, Connie bakes a cake of her own. Thanks especially to Reinelda and Connie for being so welcoming. Whenever we ran into a problem, whether with the children or dogs, missing hiking gear, or a rebooking, you helped us out. We’ve been coming to the Berger family for more than 25 years with our children and all sorts of friends, and everyone has loved it in both summer and winter. The rooms are cozy and spotless, and are regularly updated. We love the Swiss pine wood. There’s a pleasant breakfast and lounge area where we make tea and play games in the evenings, plus a refrigerator and microwave, handy since we always stay in the rooms rather than the apartments. Already looking forward to next year!

The rooms are upstairs, newly renovated with modern bathrooms, and have real pine wood that gives the house a lovely scent. They’re very clean, and the landlords are extremely friendly. It’s no trouble to walk to the ski bus or nearest supermarket, and there’s a heated shoe dryer in the findfang for wet shoes. Highly recommended.
