Villa Rose

The hostess is welcoming and friendly, a true Carinthian, and we felt very comfortable there. The villa itself is elegant and beautiful, exceptionally clean, and tucked away in a quiet spot. It’s also excellent value for the money. We’d love to return.

I can’t recommend it. Our room smelled like vomit, and we never got our €900 payment back. We didn’t spend even one night somewhere else. The tourist office offered no help and said it was our own fault.

We had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday in the apartments, and the villa has plenty of parking. It’s set in a green, very quiet area near the lake, with lovely balconies and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The garden is beautiful too, with a barbecue area and sun loungers. Excellent value for money.

There were toys for children and a barbecue in the spacious garden, and the house itself is lovely, surrounded by greenery. The barbecue wasn’t maintained, though, so guests have to clean it themselves and buy everything needed to light it. Mosquitoes were a serious problem, even with the nets. In our apartment, the living room net was badly secured and kept falling down. The heater in the children’s bedroom was completely non-standard and dangerous, and the kitchen hot plates weren’t suitable for small children at all.
