s'Waldhaus

Plangeroß is a great base for all sorts of hikes. The owner was incredibly friendly while still giving us plenty of space. We also liked that the accommodation sits a little higher up, away from the main road that so many places in the Pitztal valley are right on.

The rooms are clean and practical, and it’s an affordable place near the slopes. Breakfast was the letdown: it felt as if everything was rationed, so we were hesitant to ask for more. The sauna also costs extra, which is why I’ve taken off a star for that too.

The house was clean and tidy, and the large apartment itself was wonderful. Still, I’m not sure we’d book it again after what happened. We’d reserved that apartment plus another room for eight people, but when we arrived the landlord said he’d made a mistake and the apartment had already been rented out. Instead, we were offered three double rooms with breakfast for all eight of us. We were very annoyed and disappointed that day, though we were able to move into the apartment the next day.

We stayed at this guesthouse for four nights and had a very positive experience. The wellness area was well organized, and our room had everything we needed. Great value for money. Highly recommended.
